Free Downloads and Resources
On this page, you will find links to programs that can make your computing
experience easier. Some would not necessarily be classified as "adaptive",
and not every link is for every user, but hopefully we will eventually
have something for everyone. If you know of a link that should be here, let us know.

Access Firefox presents and showcases some of the accessibility tools and features that are available for the free Firefox web browser. Of special note is Accessibar (http://www.accessfirefox.org/Accessibar.php), which allows you to quickly and easily customize various visual settings of web pages for a more comfortable Internet surfing experience. Accessibar also offers a free and optional text to speech screen reader that is easy to learn and use.

A one-click web form filler and password manager with some serious
Artificial Intelligence (AI) inside. It works as an add-on to Microsoft
Internet Explorer ver 4 or later, all browsers based on IE, and Netscape
6. It is absolutely free for personal use.
Click-N-Type

An on-screen virtual keyboard designed for anyone with a disability
that prevents him or her from typing on a physical computer keyboard.
As long as the person can control a mouse, trackball or other pointing
device, he or she can send keystrokes to virtually any Windows application
or DOS application that can run within a window.

Concept Mapping Software

A free program, created as part of a research project at IHMC,
based at the University of West Florida. Not as user friendly as Inspiration,
but hey, the price is right!
Mousetool
(http://www.mousetool.com)
is the free award-winning program that clicks the mouse for you. Note:
This software is no longer free, but is now $75.00! Moral: Download

NLM DocMorph (http://docmorph.nlm.nih.gov/docmorph/docmorph.htm)
This free service allows you to convert any document to speech. Even
images of documents! This is especially handy for people who have a scanned
text document in an image format.

ReadPlease
is a free text-to-speech application that will read aloud any text on
a computer screen. It is specially designed to text documents and e-mail. (See Accessibar above for web browsing with speech)
